Bedford, Massachusetts, June 27, 2023 – Bollywood rock band, Kadak Chai delivered a spirited performance at the Bedford Music and Arts Festival on June 17, 2023. The festival was organized by the Bedford Cultural District to celebrate its one-year anniversary with live music, arts, and cultural activities. Musicians, artisans, non-profit organizations, and lots of enthusiastic community members came together at the First Parish Church, Bedford Historical Society, Bedford TV, The Purple Pencil, Clayful Expressions, and the Council on Aging located around the Common.
Kadak Chai’s spirited performance with their blend of Bollywood music and American rock, created a wonderful experience for music enthusiasts at the event. Kadak Chai kicked off their set with the hit single “Balam Pichkari”, a Holi festival song with infectious beats. This was followed by “Dan Te Naan” and "Hamma Hamma", infusing both songs with their signature melodic riffs. The energetic atmosphere escalated throughout the performance, with the band encouraging the crowd to sing along and dance to the infectious rhythms.
Lead vocalists, Sudha and Praveen captivated the audience with their soulful renditions of “Neele Neele Ambar Par” and “Ghungroo”. Guitarist Ajay Gopinath showcased his strumming skills with amazing solos and interludes on “Lal Meri Pat” and “Dum Maro Dum”. The band's rhythm section, comprising drummer Rajaram Narayanswamy and bassist Jay Metrona, delivered a powerful performance on “Gallan Goodiyaan” and “Dum Maro Dum”.
